ZOMBEE TREE

It has taken two thousand years,
but
the evergreens
have learned from our Lord
and,
three days later,
will rise from the dead
and return to life.

The Christmas trees
are coming back
to haunt those
that cut them down
year after year.
It is unclear
what they will be hanging with care
but this
ia one of the benefits of being
a Chosen People.

Unless, of course,
they teach the trick
to the gefilte fish.
