at the last
in retrospect
I realize
I just want a pretty wife.
Simple needs, really:
a pretty wife
with an inheritance
and no embarrassing sexual history
but still, serious experience, y’know?

I want a hot wife
dramatically younger than me
but knowledgable to catch my references.
She must love my jokes
but be unwilling to upstage me.

I want a girl
who loves housework
and accounting
and avoiding the neighborhoods
and car repairs.
If she could also teach me about sports,
that would be great too.

Really,
I just want a hot wife
but kinda cool, too.
Is that too much to ask?
