True Love #44.1012

I would swallow a tree for you.

Not, like, in a sexual way.

Just, as, you know,

an extra source of fiber.

I would eat the promises of the past

making new truths

while admitting yesterday’s errors.

I would forgo all of what was

for you

and the promise of something new.

I would chew worms

suck sour psoriasis scars

stop eating the courses I once so adored.

I would do what you tell me to

or even the things I think you might like.

I would dare for you

because I care for you.

Please, do with me what you wish.

Say you will.

Let me take you out

to dinner.
