I’m a little disappointed in Amber
whom I just heard got married to John.
I’d been under the impression
that she had come out
and for her to go back on her word
that truly saddens me.

Certainly, people can change their minds,
but updating one’s opinion on their very sexuality,
that leaves a great many supporters of the cause
depressed, down-trodden,
feeling dumped.
What about about the people, Amber?

I get it.
You don’t have to live for others
have no need to react based on my beliefs
but, really, couldn’t you have spoken to me
before finding someone new to love?
Shouldn’t there have at least been a consult?

but don’t come to me
if you change your mind again
and find yourself out of your depths.
