Please try to remember and never forget:
some of your greatest personal accomplishments
mean nothing to other people.

As I race to beat my most prolific month of poetry
I struggle to remind myself
that no one would notice if I didn’t state that fact.
Still, these words may leave no ripple.
And, of course, I may fail in the act.

I try nonetheless.
So far, I’m on course, but it gets harder
as days go by.
And yet, still I try.
