At some point it will be easy to write again.
The ideas will flow
the words will dribble out of the pen
the sentences simply stream from my fingers
as I tippity type them onto the page.
Someday
the process will prove to be natural
as it once was.
The writing will again be something spontaneous
not torturous
tested
twisted out of shape.
Eventually
it won’t be as hard as this,
I hope.
It will if you wait for it, if you make it, if you let it.
Just wanted to thank you for all the Casey Scott archiving. I’ve been a fanatic since Creep City (didn’t even know about Alive Alone etc. until this week) and I’m delighted to have ALL! THIS! CASEY! SCOTT! to listen to!
And I have sooooo many questions! The lady’s alive, right? And okay and so forth?
Gratefully yours,
Manko
PS Have you read Dorothea Brande’s “Becoming A Writer?” Lots of good material on how to set up your life to serve your writing.
She’s alive and well at caseyscott.com. She’s great, isn’t she? I’m guessing you found this site through Boog City?
I haven’t read Brande. I’ll take a look. Thanks.
